The most realistic golf game for the Wii is Tiger Woods Golf. The new verison is Tiger Woods Gold 09 and is available starting in late August. This is a great game for anyone who loves golf. Not only do you get to use the Wii controllers to swing the club, but you can play against Tiger Woods. Ok, so it's a virtual Tiger Woods, but still it's a lot of fun, especially for duffers like myself that find it hard to find the time or money to get out and golf a lot. If you have a Wii and enjoy Wii Golf, do yourself a favor and pick up Tiger Woods Golf 09. It's cheaper than a round of golf at your favorite course and you'll be able to replay the same holes over and over again without having to worry about cleaing up your divets.

Wii Bowling is just like having a bowling alley in your home. To get participate in the bowling game, use the controller and swing your arm back while pushing button B. Then bring your arm forward and let go of the button; this action then releases the bowling ball. In Wii Bowling, spinning the bowling ball can also be accomplished, by simply tilting the controller. These simple motions can be used by any level of player and make the game fun for everyone.
The Wii Bowling game contains many “Easter Eggs.” This term refers to hidden events that occur in the game. One such event is the ball bouncing if the player does not release it in time. Another involves the ball being thrown backwards into the crowd. These are fun mishaps that occur throughout the Wii Bowling game. Music from other Nintendo games plays during the bowling action. Children will enjoy identifying which games the music comes from. Also watching other Miis on the console cheering the background can be entertaining as well.

Each basic Wii console comes with both the main controller (Wii Remote) and the Wii Nunchuck. Both of these controllers can be used with all of the games. The buttons on both are simple to use, and for even the newest gamer, quick to figure out. For many people, more controllers will need to be purchased, as everyone playing the game needs a controller. With Wii Sports Boxing, if two people are playing then both will need a Wii Remote and a Wii Nunchuck. The Wii Nunchuk and the basic controller can both be purchased either on-line or at any store that carries the Wii system.
The Wii Nunchuck has an interesting design. It almost appears to be like a fishing rod, with a narrow piece and then a rounder end that will fit into the palm of a hand. There are two control buttons and an analog stick found on this controller. The Wii Nunchuk is plugged into the bottom of the Wii remote, and play is done through a wireless connection. The Wii Nunchuk is perfect for many of the games offered through the Wii system. The clever design of the controller allows for the player to be able to hang onto the Wii Nunchuk and move about without dropping it and interrupting play. This design allows for the flexibility needed in the Wii games.
The Wii Nunchuk has the same motion detectors found in the basic controller, allowing for the rapid play and character interaction that makes the Wii gaming system so popular. The Wii Nunchuk makes game playing easy and enjoyable.
The Nintendo Wii has found a place in many families’ homes, and being able to have such control over a game is one of the reasons. The basic Wii controller and the Wii Nunchuk are designed to allow the player freedom of motion and a high level of function while playing the games. Combining the Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuk allows for fully intereactive games and lots of entertainment.

Mario Kart Wii has been released recently for the Nintendo Wii, and opinion is divided on whether it's the best yet, or rather overcomplicated and frustrating. One area of the game that's completely undeniable in it's brilliance is the online mode, where you race up to twelve other racers online. Everybody wants to win, of course, but there are some excellent players
Don't Handicap Yourself Before You Even Start
It's best to use offline mode to get a feel for the game as a whole, plus unlock a few of the extra characters and karts. Once you feel confident (general consensus suggests beating at least the 100cc level cups before venturing online), then go online, but remember how you played offline.
The courses are all the same, so pick one you like before you start - don't go random. Of course, it may not get voted to race on it, but at least you stand at the least a 1 in 12 chance of racing on it. Pick a character and kart you are familiar with, and also a kart that plays to your style.
By 100cc class, you should also be playing in manual mode.
Take Advantage of Everything
There are plenty of places to safely get speed boosts without golden mushrooming everywhere. Corners are a great place to drift and you need to hold the drift for as long as possible (generally until you are straight on the straight you are drifting into), you should also stunt jump whenever you jump, and if you are racing on a motorbike, wheelie as often as possible. Also, make sure you hit the power ups. Online racing is more about powerups than offline racing, as such there's very little chance of taking an unassailable lead throughout the race.
Become a Blue Shell Bomber
If you are leading, you have one thing to fear - Blue Shells. The Blue Shells will automatically hit you with an explosion causing you to lose around 5 seconds. And there's nothing much you can do to stop it. Luckily, you are given plenty of warning, so what I try and do is stop, slow down, and take out as many of your opponents as possible. Drive with the A button (if you're using most steering methods) held down when you become aware of it and aim to eliminate as many of your opponents as possible. Sure, you'll drop down a few places, but at least you won't be miles behind when you recover.
Second Is The New First
With that said, it is far easier to do the classic Mario Kart tactic of remaining in second up until the last corner then overtake. The choice of weapons you get in first is terrible, so if you are to lead from the front, pull away and fast before you get attacked by the Blue Shells.
With all that said, the most important thing is to have fun. Playing your fellow human and beating them is a wonderfully satisfactory feeling in this game, and you have a real sense of achievement. I'll see you online!

What! Nintendo Wii Fit under fire, who on earth would speak out against it? Well, some folk, actually just a minority, are speaking out against it. Is it really possible that someone can find fault with the ever popular Wii Fit?
Without question, the Nintendo Wii Fit is one of, if not the best selling console games of all time, selling out in some shops just a few hours after being put on sale on the very day it was released.
If you need a quick lesson on how the Wii Fit works it simply measures your body mass index, BMI, and then tells you if you are overweight or not, and if you are, then the Wii Fit goes on to help you to exercise in a pleasant, fun sort of way in order to get those horrible pounds or kilo's off.
All has been well with the Wii Fit until recently when obesity groups started to make claims that it could harm a child's self image. Apparently, the Wii Fit had told a little girl she was fat when in reality she wasn't.
Now I have to say that I don't work for Nintendo in any way, shape or form but let's just set the record straight here. The instructions manual for the Nintendo Wii Fit does clearly state that the BMI calculations may not be accurate for those between the ages of two to twenty years and there you have it. It's crystal clear.
A clear message here to get the whole facts before listening to a little gossip which usually does not contain the whole facts.

Wii is the latest offering from Nintendo that is in the news these days. It is a home video gaming console from the Japanese gaming giant, and the fifth in a generation of consoles from the company, the last of which was the Nintendo GameCube in 2001.
However, there are several questions gamers will want to know answers to, about this latest gaming console:
1. Is It A State-Of-The-Art Video Game System?
Wii is a seventh generation video game system that competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3.
2. Does It Offer New Form Of Player Interaction?
The game's designers claim they were looking for a different form of player interaction. Power was rejected as the primary merit of a console. The logic was that there were already many powerful consoles in the market. One more might oversaturate the market and kill it.
3. What Is The Gaming System's Inspiration?
The manufacturers give credit for the Wii's success to Blue Ocean Strategy, the International Bestseller written by W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne; the key factors of the Wii are said to reflect the Six Path Framework described within the book. The six paths, though not revealed officially by the company, are popularly believed to be "price", "movie playing", "graphics", "physics", "fun", "game library", and "magic wand".
4. How Effective Is Its Wireless Control?
In fact, the Wii remote is said to be analogous with the "magic wand" of the "Blue Ocean Strategy" book. The manufacturers claim that the Wii remote can detect movement in three dimensions and is the wireless controller of the console. This feature is said to distinguish the Wii from other game consoles on the market.
5. Does Internet Access Make Sense?
The WiiConnect24 features allows a gamer using Wii to surf the web. This makes the console a wirefree devise capable of accessing the Internet to receive messages and updates. This is claimed to happen even when the console is in standby mode.
The company invites to gamers to play friends online over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or use the Internet Channel to surf the net from your sofa. They claim you can even download other Nintendo games using the Wii Shop Channel.
6. What Franchises If Any Are Offered?
Wii offers current Nintendo franchises like Mario, Zelda and Metroid, as well as all new ones like Wii Sports and Wii Play.
7. Can Gamers Create Their Own Characters?
Wii allows creation of your own Mii character to star in Wii games. Nintendo also claims that Wii creates a new dimension to TV watching, which according to the company is not complete without it. The company prides itself on the premise that Wii brings people together. It also emphasizes that the ability to stay online 24/7 and download updates, even when on standby, is a major advantage that other consoles on the market don't offer. The company also advertises that the console is easy to set up and use, and is ready to use.

Recovering from an illness can be challenging having to relearn basic motor skills, movement, walking, anything that involves active daily living activities, i.e. dressing, bathing, eating, brushing teeth, combing your hair, and toileting. To be functional independent many times people have to work many hours to regain what they have lost. Usually a patient receives several hours of therapy a day to help reach their goals.

The most popular wii dance games for the Nintendo has thus far been the Dance Dance Revolution or aka. DDR Hottest Party.
DDR was created by the Tokyo based company Konami Corporation which dates back to 1973, they were famous for titles like frogger, scramble and Super Cobra. When Dance dance Revolution Hottest party first came to the US in 2007 it won huge applause, partially due to the fact that it was the only wii dance games that contained the one of a kind dance pad controller.
What makes DDR so different is that using a traditional dance pad with a Wii remote requires participants to match controller movements with the remote and the Nunchuck attachment as well as do the dance steps at the same time. This new innovation causes the whole body workout, giving the top part or your arms something to do as well, which upto now has always been solely focused on feet movements. The game supports up to four players at a time.
If you never heard of or played DDR then some explanations are in order. It's a rhythm game that has you stepping all over a dance mat to hit arrows that match the corresponding arrows on the screen. All this takes place to a the beat of a popular dance track. If your new to this lookout cause it isn't easy, you will have a hard time to keep from tripping over your own feet. Whereas veterans will be hopping back and forth, seemingly hitting all the arrows with ease. The diamonds correspond to hand movements and the arrows to feet movements. The game offer 3 different Play options namely: Free Play , Groove Curcuit, and workout mode.
Lets have a closer look at this game and see what some of the pros and cons are. Whatever method you choose to play Hottest Party appears pretty good. The colors of the game are bright and vivacious, the surroundings are neat and the game characters feel right and are well animated. DDR features extra backup dancers that are an unneeded visible touch, the main character should have been rendered larger, but nonetheless the game looks decent. The audio sounds for the most part ok with a list of approximately fifty tracks. They tried to put something in the music list for everyones taste. The announcer tends to be somewhat of a nuisance, who either compliments you or insults you all at the same time. Kind of like saying "you are really good at sucking!" Might get to you after a while, those kind of comments. DDR comes with one dance pad included, for multiple players each will have to obtain it's own dance pad.
Unfortunately there are not alot of other choices in the Wii dance games niche. There is Dancing with the stars which has received less than good reviews. Which also has dance pad incompatibility problems with the dancepad offered by DDR Hottest Party.
These type of get off the couch Wii dance games are gaining in popularity. I don't think the game will convert the player into the next Fred Astaire but will definitely give you a good work out.

Well, I've finally decided to get it. A few days ago, I finally made the difficult decision of purchasing the Nintendo Wii Fit Bundle. Alright I admit it, it's not really that difficult because I got it at a real bargain. When I received the package in the mail, I couldn't contain my excitement. After all, the Nintendo Wii Fit is the latest innovative games and workout machine out in the market today!

What's In The Nintendo Wii Fit Bundle?
As I unpack my Nintendo Wii Fit bundle package anxiously, I notice that there are quite a number of items included. There's the Nintendo Wii game console, the Wii Fit Balance Board and a peripheral of accessories such as the console stand, remote for the games console, nunchuck, AV adapter & cables. Included with the balance board is a disc of software which contains activities or exercises such as the yoga, body balance, muscle building and aerobic exercises and routines.
My Wii game console also came with 5 Wii Sports games for Tennis, Bowling, Baseball, Golf and Boxing. Now, you'll need the Wii game console before you can make use of Wii Fit system. When I was first planning my purchase, I noticed that there were many packages selling at rock bottom prices all over the web. But beware, most of them don't include the Wii game console! You may end up paying more if you buy them separately. If you don't have the Wii game console, the more economic choice will be the Wii Fit bundle as retailers tend to package them at a more attractive price.
My Workout Experience On the Nintendo Wii Fit
After I setup the Wii Fit system, I started working out on it with a heart rate monitor strapped on my wrist. It took a while for me to get used to the menu navigation though frankly, they're pretty user friendly. It may take some time off the workout time but I'm sure that can be minimized once I get more familiar with the system.
What I've noticed was, some of the activities didn't gave me as good a workout as I expected. The soccer heading game was a disappointment and didn't even raise my heart rate above the minimum. And when I compared my statistics across activities such as the Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobic and Balance, the aerobic section stood out.
My favourite by far was the Hula Hoop game. As I tried to balance myself, keeping all the hoops in the air while catching some more, my heart beat was raised to 172bpm. Not only was it a good workout, it was pretty fun and enjoyable.
Perhaps you may be asking "So, do you think the Nintendo Wii Fit is a good way to lose weight?". Personally I don't think the Wii Fit can really help to lose much weight given the nature of the activities involved. Maybe a pound or two a week. But I'm sure they'll be quite effective in another department of your life.
Lifestyle and fun.

It's now been just over a month since Wii Fit was launched in the United States and although response to the game has been mixed, overall it has been a huge success, showing once again why Nintendo continues to lead the video games market. In the run-up to the launch of Wii Fit, the Nintendo marketing machine went into overdrive and the buzz surrounding the game was phenomenal but what many people seemed to miss was the real innovation behind the game, namely the Wii Balance Board.
Described by some as a glorified bathroom scale, this amazing peripheral is as revolutionary as the Wii Remote was when it was first launched, and like the Wii Remote, it will have Microsoft and Sony playing catch-up as they try to bring the same functionality to their consoles. When the excitement of Wii Fit dies down, it will be the Wii Balance Board that's remembered as the device that took gaming to the next level.
But there's quite a story behind this seemingly simple piece of kit which took months to develop and went through numerous prototypes of various shapes and sizes before it became the slim white board that's found itself at home in living rooms the world over.
A Scale For Miyamoto-san
Before you can understand the thinking behind the balance board you need to take a step back to understand the original vision that resulted in the need for such a peripheral. That vision was thanks to Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo's Senior Managing Director.
As the driving force behind games such as Pikmin and Nintendogs, Shigeru developed a reputation for creating games based on his personal hobbies. Wii Fit is no exception as the original concept for the game came from his interest in weighing himself and recording his weight on a daily basis. This led to the start of a project called 'Health Pack' which was later to become Wii Fit.
From the onset, the challenge was how to take something as simple as weighing yourself, something he enjoyed but many would see as mundane, and turn it into an activity that could be fun for the whole family. This proved to be a major challenge for the development team which, at one point, was on the verge of being broken up.
Two Scales Are Better That One
Progress on the game was slow until one of the developers brought in two scales after seeing how Sumo wrestlers have to use two scales to weigh themselves and the team suddenly realised that it was quite fun trying to balance evenly on both of them. It was at this point that measuring balance became the central theme of Wii Fit and the team started to consider using balancing exercises as a means of keeping fit.
Initial talks with scale manufacturers received little support and the team soon realised that they would have to develop their own device. It would also have to be more functional than an ordinary scale and so the idea developed of it measuring balance on four points. At this stage the team started to realise that it could be more than just a scale but actually a game interface.
Circles, Squares And Octagons
Once the overall concept of the balance board had been decided and that it would contain four sensors, work began on figuring out the optimum shape and size of the board together with the way it communicated with the Wii console. This proved to be a long process of trial and error and a constant battle between cost and usability.
Initial prototypes of the board were circular, and then square and even at one point octagonal but it soon became apparent that these shapes were impractical especially when considering exercises like push-ups. Once again, the solution came from Miyamoto who realised that a person's natural stance before training was to stand with their feet at about shoulder width apart so it was decided that the board would become more rectangular.
The second major challenge was deciding how the balance board would communicate with the Wii console. Initially, to keep costs down it was decided that the balance board would actually connect to the Wii Remote but that was soon seen as too much of a pain and the idea dropped. Eventually it was decided to rebuild the Wii Remote's wireless component from scratch to create a wireless module that could be built into the board itself.
Once these two major obstacles had been overcome it then became a process of fine-tuning the design, making sure that the board was strong enough to stand on and that it was safe to use. The end result was the revolutionary new peripheral that we see today.
What's Next For The Wii Balance Board?
Several members of the Wii Balance Board development team admitted that at first, they never really understood Shigeru Miyamoto's vision for such a device. But as the board took shape they began to see it as more than just an accessory that could weigh players. Even before Wii Fit was launched globally there was talk internally of possible Wiiware titles and even the possibility of a balance board version of Nintendo 1080? Snowboarding.
Fortunately for balance board fans, developers like Namco, EA Sports and Ubisoft have already committed to releasing exciting new titles in 2008. In fact, Namco's We Ski was already available with the launch of Wii Fit. Games like EA Skate It and Shaun White Snowboarding have been confirmed and more games are in the works. One thing is for sure and that is that Nintendo's latest innovation, the Wii Balance Board, has a bright future.
It's now been just over a month since Wii Fit was launched in the United States and although response to the game has been mixed, overall it has been a huge success, showing once again why Nintendo continues to lead the video games market.
