Star Wars Force Unleashed Tip for Wii

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

When I fired up this game, I noticed that everything appeared a little dark.  I played through the first few levels and was doing ok, but I wasn't loving the gameas much as I thought I would, mainly do to everything being hard to see.  I stumbled across a little tip that helped improve things greatly.

If the game is too dark, go into the options screen.  Choose Video and make sure the brightness is highlighted.  Move the slider for the brightness all the way to the right so that it's maxed out and then move it to the left two times.  This really made things a lot better for me.  Everything is brighter and clearer.  Some people slide the brightness back a little on Felucia since it can be hard to see with the brightness up.

Hope that helps some people get more enjoyment out of the game.  Now if they find a way to make the camera not so crazy.....

Star Wars The Force Unleashed for Nintendo Wii

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

The Force Unleashed is the newest Star Wars game to hit the market.  The game is set between the 3rd (Revenge of the Sith) and 4th (Star War) movies.  Having read through some spoliers, I think the story is a tad "out there" but is good overall and makes the game exciting from the beginning.  Of course, getting to use Darth Vader in all his Sith badness at the very beginning is exciting as well!

The gameplay for the Wii is pretty exciting as for the first time, players can use the Wii remote to control the lightsaber while the nunchuck controls the force powers and movement.  In addition, the Wii version has a duel mode where 2 players can go Jedi to Jedi against one another.  The Wii version also has additional levels for the game which should make up for the graphics being lesser than the PS3 or 360.

Overall, the Force Unleashed will be a hot game for Wii owners and for anyone who loves Star Wars.
