EA Sports Active - Better than Wii Fit?
Tuesday, July 14th, 2009Electronic Arts jumps into the interactive fitness market with EA Sports Active. This game and it’s accessories allows gamers to get fit and compete with each other at the same time. EA took notice of the strengths of Wii Fit as well as the weaknesses and created an interactive and competitive fitness game. There are workouts for the upper body, the lower body, and cardio. For those that have the Wii Fit Balance Board, you can use that as part of the control scheme as well. Purchasing the multiplayer pack allows two players to play at one time and compete against each other in different exercises.
Overall, the EA Sports Active bundle is good buy for those looking to get in shape without having to spend hours at the gym. The 30 day training regiment with daily 20 minute workouts is sure to get your blood pumping. The fact that exercise difficulty can be changed is an added feature. The workouts are a combination of exercises that flow from one to the other, unlike the Wii Fit where you had to complete an exercise and then choose another. If you were a little disappointed in the Wii Fit or are looking for new fitness challenges, be sure to check out EA Sports Active today.
