resale value of Wii console?
if I were to buy the bundle Wii console, Wii 1GB Secure Digital card, 12-month replacement plan, Game Informer subscription, and six games, including Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Madden NFL 2007, and Marvel Ultimate for 0, how much do you think the resale value would be?
I am basically asking, is there a chance I could turn a profit? Much like when the XBox 360 came out, people would buy it for 400 and then turn around and sell it on ebay for upwards of a grand.

I have been following the wii launch closely since its announcement at E3 2005. Due to Nintendo's claims that 4 million launch consoles will be available worldwide by the end of the calendar year, with the majority of the consoles being sold stateside, the demand will not be nearly as high as it was with the 360 and for sure the PS3. Within the first few weeks of launch, i would think you could definately turn a profit (if the person buying would want all games and accessories in the bundle – the full game selection is a bit too varied for my taste), but the margin will be quite small. After looking at the number of wiis different targets around the country are receiving (some stores will be getting launch shipments upwards of 60 units and the majority more than 30), my honest opinion is that if someone wants to pay retail for the game, they will be able to find a store (target, wal-mart, gamestop, etc…) that will be selling the console, granted that it may take a bit more searching than usual. I personally wouldnt pay more than 300 for the console itself and maybe MAYBE 775 for that bundle. If you want to turn a profit, go with the PS3. Only 400,000 consoles at launch compared to 1 million for Wii in North America on Launch day.
