Wii Fit Games – A Breakdown of some of the games for the Wii Fit
Ever since I picked up the Wii Fit, I've enjoyed playing the Wii Fit games that make up the workout routine. While these games are fun, they also encourage a lot of body movement and hence burning of calories. While each of the games offers some enjoyment, there are three games that I think stand out above the others, whether for fun or for the challenge.
My third favorite of the Wii Fit games is the ski jumping. This is part of the Balance games portion of the Wii Fitness program. The key to doing well in this game is to jump at the right time and hold your position while descending. If you get off balance, your on-screen character will crash land in the snow and turn into a huge snowball. The challenge of trying to reach maximum velocity while jumping at the right time is a lot of fun and is the reason why this is one of the favorite activities in my workout routine.
My second favorite of the Wii Fit games is the step aerobics. While this might sound unusual, keep in mind that I like the games that are fun and involve a little bit of challenge. In this game, you follow the on-screen instructions to keep your Mii in step with the rest of the characters. After doing this activity once or twice, you get a feel of how to stay in rhythm. You almost feel like you are dancing, which for someone with two left feet like myself, is a nice change.
My alltime favorite of the Wii Fit games is the heading of soccer balls. Using the balance boards, you must shift your weight left and right in order to move your Mii to head soccer balls while avoiding shoes and inflatable balls. If you've ever played this game with a group, you know the reaction of those watching when you get clocked with a an errant shoe to the head. It's even funnier when it happens two or three times in a row. The fast paced nature of this game along with the considerable challenge make it the one activity I always have to play when I start playing Wii Fit.
Those are my three favorite Wii Fit games. Each one offering a unique challenge and tons of fun. There are a total of 40 games in all for Wii Fitness. I'm sure others will have games they like more than the ones I've chosen.
